This 1994 California ballot measure would have prohibited undocumented immigrants from receiving most public services including public education, non-emergency healthcare, and social services, and required state agencies to verify immigration status and report suspected undocumented individuals to federal authorities. The measure passed but was largely blocked by federal courts and never fully implemented.
