Shall Placer County Code, Chapter 21, Section 21.3 be amended to impose a general tax under the provisions of Government Code Section 53723, which would increase the rate of the Transient Occupancy Tax (a tax imposed only upon overnight visitors to the area for the privilege of occupancy in any hotel/motel) from EIGHT (8%) percent to TEN (10%) percent of the daily room rental for that area legally described as the “Western Slope Transient Occupancy Tax Area”, to read as set forth in Exhibit “A” of Resolution #98-164 adopted by the Placer County Board of Supervisors on July 14, 1998 and on file in the Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors?
