Shall the recommendations of the 1999-2000 Grand Jury relating to salaries of the Board of Supervisors be implemented by amending Article IV, Section 2 of the Charter of Tehama County as follows: "Notwithstanding any ordinance currently in force, the salary of each member of the Board of Supervisors beginning January 1, 2003, shall be two thousand dollars (2,000.00) per month. This salary shall be adjusted every two (2) years by an amount equal to the percentage increase identified in the Bureau of Labor Statistics Cost of Living Adjustment (CPI-U), (hereinafter called "COLA") For the previous two (2) years, and reviewed every forur (4) years by the Tehama County Grand Jury. Any recommendation of the Grand Jury to change the salary of members of the Board of Supervisors by an amount greater than that provided by the COLA shall not be implemented except by a vote of the people at the time of general election."
