Shall the City of Madera authorize a 1/4 cent (0.25%) increase to City sales and use tax for 8 years funding law enforcement as follows: a) gang prevention, youth offender supervision, school patrol and graffiti cleanup; b) additional officers for neighborhood patrols and neighborhood watch; c) officer training and retention; d) equipment, including trained police/search dogs. All of this tax shall be for purposes listed above, unless voters specifically authorize a change. This tax expires after 8 years.
