This measure replaces the county-controlled "Measure H" 0.25% sales tax with a locally-controlled 0.25% sales tax for the City of South El Monte, generating approximately $1.6 million annually for general services including public safety, housing programs, parks and recreation, homelessness prevention, and road repairs. The local tax would begin when Measure H expires and continue until voters choose to repeal it.
