This measure would have authorized the Galt Joint Union Elementary School District to issue $27 million in bonds to fund school facility improvements including repairs to roofs, plumbing, and HVAC systems, security and fire safety upgrades, classroom modernization, and disability access improvements. The bonds would have been repaid through a property tax levy of 3 cents per $100 of assessed valuation, generating approximately $1.96 million annually while the bonds remain outstanding.
