This measure authorized the Union School District to issue $128 million in bonds to fund school facility improvements including health and safety systems, infrastructure repairs, asbestos and lead pipe removal, and construction or renovation of classrooms and educational facilities. The bonds would be repaid through a property tax of 2 cents per $100 of assessed value, generating approximately $7 million annually while the bonds remain outstanding.
