In order to have uniformity with local cities’ hotel tax rates of 12% (Buellton, Carpinteria, Goleta, Solvang, and Santa Barbara) and for general county purposes such as law enforcement, parks, recreation, facility and road maintenance, and others, shall an ordinance amending Santa Barbara County Code Section 32-12 increasing the transient occupancy tax rate (paid by persons renting accommodations for 30 days or less) in the unincorporated areas of the County from 10% to 12% be adopted?
