To relieve traffic congestion, fill potholes, improve safety and air quality by: leveraging state and federal transportation funds; maintaining and improving local streets and rural roads; widening Highway 99 and making improvements to Highways 33, 59, 140 and 165; providing transportation services for seniors and people with disabilities; Shall Merced County voters approve a one-half cent transportation sales tax for 30 years, including creating an independent Taxpayer Watchdog Committee ensuring that voter mandates are met?
